At Arico Natural Foods, we believe in setting a good example by running a sustainable business.

We understand that carbon dioxide emissions are created by many of our business's daily activities. So we’ve taken a leadership role to offset our impact on the environment by calculating our carbon footprint and investing in wind energy projects through Bonneville Environmental Foundation, an Oregon-based non-profit organization.

Our investment helps fund renewable energy initiatives like the White Creek Wind Project, a wind farm located on 9,500 acres of ranchland in southern Washington State. It produces enough power for 38,000 residences.

Because leaving the Earth a more beautiful place than when we got here is important to us, we also support reforestation projects around the world.

We’ve pledged to plant a tree for every new store that carries Arico Cassava Chips. Last year we worked with American Forests to plant trees on the Indonesian island of Sumatra to help preserve the habitat of the endangered orangutan.

This year we’ll be supporting a tree-planting project closer to home – in Oregon’s Deschutes National Forest, which was devastated by fire several years ago.
